Dear Food Vendor,
This year marks a new beginning for the 52nd Annual Castroville Artichoke Festival. This past year the office of Castroville Festivals Inc. relocated to a bigger facility! We are now located in La Scuola Building directly under the Castroville overhead sign on Merritt Street. We are thrilled with this opportunity, for it allows us to grow into the future.
Therefore, we are now sending out food vendor packets via e-mail. Sustainability and going green are two (2) components we pride ourselves on. We are asking you to please return to us a completed application, so processing can be handled in an efficient manner. Real estate is precious, so keep that in mind when you receive your packet and in return we ask for your patience and/or understanding.
We will be reviewing all applications as they come in and notify selected vendors as quickly as possible. Once approved, you will then be sent further information in regards to Monterey County Health Department and Festival ground rules. Please note our detailed application form. The Festival will not accept any applications for beverages: i.e. beer, soda, wine, water. PRIORITY DOES GO TO THOSE WHO USE FRESH ARTICHOKES IN THEIR PRODUCT. Duplicate vendors will be chosen on first come basis.
We will have headline music entertainment on Saturday and Sunday. Renowned chefs will provide artichoke food demos to be paired with Monterey County wines in the Artichoke Packing Shed. The ever popular field tours are not only beautiful but educational as well with a lesson in the ABCs of artichokes and a stop at our Farmers Market. AgroART continues this year with a 1-day event with individuals and professionals participating. And what better way to kick off the day than by having a pancake breakfast at the local firehouse and watching the parade on Sunday morning.
We look forward to receiving your completed application for consideration no later than March 20, 2011. Thank you for your interest in our Festival.
Sincerely,
Michele Pecci
Food Director
