Dear Vendor:

On May 17 and 18, 2008, we will be celebrating the 49th annual Artichoke Festival in the community of Castroville, in Monterey County, California. Last year’s festival drew over 20,000 people to this two-day event.

This year’s theme is “Green and Global” and we are pleased to have the Marshall Tucker Band and War in our great musical line-up. In addition we have many tantalizing artichoke dishes, cooking demonstrations, a car show and our ever popular parade.

Enclosed you will find a Vendor/Arts and Crafts Application, Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement and Rules and Regulations for this year’s festival. Please review these documents carefully and if you are interested in participating you need to do the following:

1. Complete and return the Vendor/Arts and Crafts Application and Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement;
2. Provide a copy of our California Resale License;
3. Pay the required fees; and
4. Provide a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Your application will be considered once the above requirements have been return to the North Monterey County Chamber Commerce, Attn: Arts & Crafts, P.O. Box 1041, Castroville, CA 95012. The deadline for applying is May 1, 2008.

Food

Dear Food Vendor,

The 49th Annual Castroville Artichoke Festival is “going green and global” and we are now taking applications for food concessions. We have successfully continued to grow over the years, with this year being no exception.

Our headline entertainment this year is WAR and The Marshall Tucker Band.
Cooking demos will pair up with wine tasting and the ever popular field tours will expand with a lesson in ABCs of artichokes and a stop at our Farmer’s Market. AgroART continues to be a fun filled event with participants of all ages. Again what better way to kick off the morning, but by having a pancake breakfast at the local firehouse and watching the parade on Sunday morning.

Therefore, we are asking you to please return to us a completed application, so processing can be handled in an efficient manner. We will try to accommodate all of you for real estate is precious, so keep that in mind when you receive your space allotment, and in return we ask for your patience and understanding.

We will be reviewing all applications as they come in and notify selected vendors as quickly as possible. Please note our detailed application form. The Festival will not accept any applications for beverages: i.e. beer, soda, wine, water. PRIORITY DOES GO TO THOSE WHO USE ARTICHOKES IN THEIR PRODUCT. Duplicate vendors will be chosen on first come basis.
